I can live with the current state, so a Support Ticket is not really necessary.DISCLAIMER: Certain trade names and company products are mentioned in the text or identified. I also have the 'normal' Elite Dangerous (without Horizons) installed, but since problems with landings and SRV can be 'fixed' by relogging with the older version, I think nearly everybody has this too. I think somebody thought, that FSS directional bindings (Yaw and Pitch via mouse) automatically work for DSS too - this is obviously wrong.Īnyway - I never had any older version of the game. For FSS pitch there is a value '', for SAA nothing. There are a lot of bindings for FSS, but only two for DSS, named SAA in the bindings files. I also looked into the predefined settings which came with the game (I do not know if something was changed by the last patch, but I don't think so). So the only default Mouse/Keyboard setting I have should include the at least 3.3, which came out last year in December. I started around 3.3.0.x (I think it was 3.3.0.2, I know that I installed the last update 3.3.0.3). I purchased the game at January 17th, 2019! That is, I have it less than two weeks, and I purchased the 'Elite Dangerous CMDRS Deluxe Edition', which contains the last update (Horizons). Have others seen this problem? Probably yes.ĮDIT: I found the problem - it was the user - me Please ignore this question, its solved now. The FSS worked like a charm in this control setup, without the need to change anything.įor now I set up W/S for 'Pitch', but this is certainly not optimal. Maybe an oversight? Also having a standard module (which costs 250.000, btw.) and have no controls at all defined (despite the fact that this module has its own section in Controls) is a bit curious. There are no settings for Mouse/Keyboard controls stored! So I tried to set up mouse-X and mouse-Y.īut there is a problem: I can set mouse-X to 'Yaw', but I cannot set mouse-Y to 'Pitch'! I just is not possible, there is only one selection, namely 'OFF'. Not optimal - so I went into Options/Control. Only way do target another spot was to leave the DSS and reposition the ship. To use it, I activated it the first time - and found, that I could not move the target cross in any way. ![]() I also equipped a Surface Scanner and tested it. I built myself a Hauler and explored a bit.
